TRANSDISCIPLINARY COURSE (T-COURSE) REQUIREMENT |

Each Ph.D. student at CGU is required to complete the transdisciplinary T-Course during the first 48 units of coursework at CGU. This course is an advanced intensive experience that prepares doctoral students for high-level discourse, research, and inquiry and provides practical experience working with colleagues in different fields. The course will count as 4 of the regular 72 unit towards the degree. |

RESEARCH TOOL REQUIREMENT |
||||||||
Each Ph.D. student at CGU is required to demonstrate one research skill. The research tool requirement in Health Promotion Science is to provide students with useful research skills, which will provide either specific substantive knowledge or practical applied techniques applicable to their own planned career. Proficiency in a research tool shall be evaluated by a qualified examiner in order to establish the student’s competency. Students select one of the following research tool categories: statistics, computer programming, statistical programming applications, survey research, evaluation research, neurocognitive assessment, physical activity and dietary assessment. The Report of Research Tool Accomplished form must be completed and submitted to the registrar demonstrating completion of the requirement. |
